Finally after much coming and going we have the Peruvian version of the CD cover. It has turned out well and at a fraction of the UK cost. We were able to promote it at a concert last week in the
local state school in Nazareno who kindly let us use their premises.

Studies and work
Three of the 8 in the group have enrolled in courses and are studying.
Diego is studying electronics two evenings a week, Pilar studies English in the afternoons, and Joey continues his studies in the Music Academy in Lima.
This week Jhonny continued his studies in the Anglican seminiary in Lima.
Two others of the group, Roger and Enrique, are finishing high school this year and two others, John and Wilson, work in a small sewing business run by their families.
Sixto has recently gone to Colombia to work, we hope he will return to participate in the group soon.
Joey is teaching the whole group music theory and some practical techniques twice a week as part of their training and rehearsing together.
It has been good to have their participation in the services on Sundays and the Bible study on Thursdays.

New instruments and new CD cover
The group have recently added some new instruments to their collection which they hope to use in several upcoming events in June. Including two new guitars, some panpipesand a percussion curtain. It was fun going as a group to buy the new items and it has been great in the church services to have some different instruments.
The group has also taken new photographs for the CD cover here in Peru. As yet we are still using the English versions but they wanted something with everyone on as it was not complete.

Mision Jesus El Nazareno, Lima, Peru
Welcome to this Anglican Diocese mission church in the shanty town in the south of Lima, the capital of Peru. Jesus El Nazareno is a small community church with a busy life. It is led by Deacon Patricia Blanchard, Mission Partner with South American Mission Society (SAMS).
One important ministry is with the young people, and we are proud to have a group of very talented musicans who play traditional peruvian instruments. Perhaps that's why you are looking at this blog spot - you may have heard of the new CD produced or even purchased one. This is just one project which is raising funds to enable these young people study or work.
Pilar - vocals
Sixto - panpipes and vocals
